KSG Project Development & Report Launch Activities — April–May 2025

Between April and May 2025, the RHGS team advanced several key activities connected to the recently awarded SSHRC Knowledge Synthesis Grant (KSG). These developments support the next stage of RHGS’s research program, including project coordination, knowledge mobilization, and protocol design for the upcoming scoping review on equity in regional health governance.

KSG Project Management Plan

During this period, the team developed and finalized the KSG Project Management Plan, outlining:

  • Research timelines and milestones
  • Responsibilities of the RHGS research team, Project Manager, and RAs
  • Knowledge mobilization strategies
  • Deliverables linked to the KSG funding requirements

The plan provides a structured roadmap for coordinating the synthesis and dissemination activities supported by the grant.

Report Launch Webinar

RHGS hosted a public webinar to formally launch the Research Report emerging from the 2024 two-day Symposium.

The event included:

  • An overview of the report’s key findings
  • Reflections from panelists and contributors
  • A discussion on the implications for regional pandemic governance
  • Q&A with attendees from academic, policy, and civil society sectors

The webinar served as an important platform for sharing insights and fostering continued dialogue around equitable health governance in the Americas.

KSG Protocol Development for Scoping Review

The team initiated and advanced the development of the Scoping Review Protocol for the KSG-funded research project.
This protocol outlines:

  • The research questions guiding the scoping review
  • Inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Target regions (Americas, Africa, Europe)
  • Data extraction and synthesis approach
  • Equity-focused analytical frameworks

The protocol will serve as the foundation for systematically mapping how equity is conceptualized and operationalized in regional and sub-regional health governance frameworks between 2005 and 2025.
