Dr. Jake Effoduh
Assistant Professor
Jake Effoduh is an Assistant Professor of AI & Technology Law at Toronto Metropolitan University and Chief Counsel at ACADIC.
His research focuses on AI governance, human rights, and law, spanning Canada, Africa, and global institutions.
He has led international initiatives on ethical AI, policy translation, and governance reform, advising UNESCO, WEF, and CEIMIA. As Co-PI on AMR policy development in West Africa, he guides governance and policy translation through a One Health approach.
Effoduh is also Editor-in-Chief of the Transnational Technology Law Review and a UNESCO Expert on AI and the Rule of Law.
